Gwyneth Manser is a Geography Ph.D. student. She holds a Master of Science in Geography from Portland State University, and a Bachelor of Arts in Anthropology and Environmental Studies from Emory University. Her work broadly focuses on food and agricultural systems, cultural geography, consumption, and health, and her dissertation research examines the form, function, and impact of rules and regulations at farmers markets in the State of Oregon. Other recent projects include neighborhood food access and student food insecurity; a comparison of urban agriculture in Portland, Oregon and Montréal, Québec; local food system network mapping; and an analysis of the health impacts of University exclusive beverage contracts.
